At the March 31st Valley City Council meeting, Mayor Arnold Leak presented the Valley Area Arts Council with a limited edition print from the Alabama Department of Tourism and Travel that celebrated the Alabama State Council of the Art's Year of the Arts in 2007. Mayor Leak commended the Arts Council on its continuing effort to raise awareness of the Arts to the Greater Valley Area and praised the last art show held by the Valley Area Arts Council at the Valley Community Center as the best one that had been held. Mayor Leak stated that the Valley Area Arts Council is a vital piece in the continuing growth of the City of Valley and the surrounding area.
