The City of Valley would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2nd Annual Trick or Treat Festival at Rams Stadium. All the clubs, churches, and businesses that contributed time and 'goodies'; all the individuals who worked tirelessly in signing up these participants and who helped decorate Rams Stadium; and most of all, to the people who came and made this an overwhelming success - THANK YOU!.
Last year over 2500 people attended and this year, judging by the crowd, there seemed to be even more. There were 32 clubs,
churches, and businesses that had booths and displays with free candy given out to those who visited the booths. A big thanks to Valley First Baptist Church and West End Baptist for renting the giant slide and letting the kids have free entertainment. Some vendors had games for the kids to enjoy; food vendors had a variety of delicious menus and a food court was provided for the people to enjoy their food and drink.
'Ghoulish' entertainment was again supplied by the band "Indifference", which is made up of some our area youth. The band played Halloween songs along with the latest hit songs.
The City of Valley gave out trick or treat bags at the entrance of the stadium. There were witches; ghouls; aliens; 'lions and tigers and bears, oh my'; princesses, movie stars, Elvis was sighted, Disney characters, Pirates of the Caribbean, devils, and you name it and they were probably there.
Everyone who attended had a great time! The City of Valley looks forward to next year's Fall Festival and plans to make it bigger and better than this year's. Mark your calendars and make plans to be with us next year. Thanks again for making the 2nd Annual Trick or Treat Festival at Rams Stadium such a great success!
