Memorial Day Program 2007

The 2007 Memorial Day program, honoring all veterans in the area, was held at 11AM in Veteran's Park in the Langdale Community adjacent to the entrance to Langdale Mill. The program was sponsored by American Legion Post 67 and the City of Valley and was well attended by veterans and the local citizenry.

Roy Hill, Post Commander, and Bobby Elliott, Post Adjutant, led the progam. Cy Wood, editor of the Valley Times News was the guest speaker and Ernie Pearce, news director of CVP Channel 3, read a special tribute honoring the veterans. Faye Paschal sang "The Star Spangled Banner", Jason Crosson sang "Proud To Be An American" and Valley Police Chief Tommy Weldon played "Taps" to end the program
