Since the fireworks display at the 2nd Annual Valley Day On the River was canceled due to the torrential rain that day, we have a lot of fireworks that need to be used and we're going to use them July 4!
Join us at the Old Shawmut Airport, where the Valley Day On the River took place, for the "Celebrating With Valley On the Chattahoochee"
as we celebrate July 4th with a bang. Gates will open at 5PM EST and
the fireworks display will begin after dark. The GPS coordinates are
32deg., 51 min., 10 sec.. N & 85 deg., 09min., 39 sec., W
There will be continuous music beginning at 5PM and going on even after the fireworks are finished. Jayson Turnham and the Stampede Band will kick off the evening and the Stroking Dixie Band will end it.
In addition to the fireworks and live music, we'll have the following:
- Entertainment for the kids
- Horseshoe Tournament
- Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest
- Frisbee Throw
- R.C Flyers Paintball Airplane Shooting
- Free watermelon slices
- Crafts and food booths
Bring your pop-up tents and lawn chairs to relax in. RV campers are welcome to camp on Friday and/or Saturday night, but please call Shelia Still to reserve a spot.
Admission is:
