The Planning and Development Department is responsible for administering the Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Regulations, and 2006 International Building Codes for The City of Valley The Planning and Development Department reviewss and administers Rezoning, Variance, and Subdivision Reviews. The Department also reviews applications for business licenses and development permits that are submitted to the City. This is to insure that they meet the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance and Building Codes. All building and sign permit applications, applications for home occupation licenses and installation of accessory buildings must be reviewed by the Planning and Development Department before a permit or license is issued. Some applications may be processed in 24 hours while others may require Planning Commission or Board of Zoning Adjustments action.
The Planning and Development Department is located at 5220 Fairfax Bypass and our office hours are and Monday thru Thursday and 8:00AM - 12:00 PM Friday.
