The CFCP is building new houses in Valley this week and really, really need local volunteers!
Two new homes are being built on 42nd Street in Valley (2nd street on the right past Blockbuster - going South on Highway 29). The roof trusses are going up tomorrow and lots of helpers are needed. The work is fun (seriously, it is!) and it's for a great cause. The trusses require some upper-body strength so they could really use some extra men for that task. There are plenty of other jobs to do on the Valley sites as well.
CFCP is on their final punch list for houses #1 & #2 in Lanett and #3 in West Point and could also use some workers there. There is also some work to be done on house #4 in West Point.
There are plenty of things that need to be done throughout the Valley (West Point, Valley and Lanett), so just bring yourself and a great attitude and Darren Kelley will 'plug you in' depending upon what type of work you would like to do. Painters, roofers, carpenters, cleaners, landscapers...even cheerleaders are needed.....No matter what your skill is (or isn't!!!!) - you can help! If you want to come by for one hour - or stay all day. Or, you can just stop by and bring water, gatorade, snacks....etc!! Or, just stop by and check our the progress and thank all of the out-of-town volunteers that are already here working
