Public Works
The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the city's infrastructure - roads, sidewalks, rights-of-way, trees, buildings and grounds. Cost control, quality assurance, and coverage of the entire city area are daily problems for department management.

- Provides customer service to Valley residents

Street (334) 756-5233- Cuts grass on city rights-of-way
- Maintains city streets and constructs
- Repairs and cleans sidewalks, shoulders, storm drains, driveways, curbing, gutters, culverts, and drainage systems
- Responsible for all street signage within the city limits.
Animal Control (334) 756-5233Mosquito Eradication Program (334) 756-5233The Mosquito Eradication Program is a new program that will help prevent the West Nile Virus from infecting the Valley area. Normally, the streets are sprayed from June through September. Citizens are asked to take the proactive approach and keep yards free from standing water.
