The City of Valley believes that a community that 'plays together, stays together' and this belief led to the construction of the Valley Community Center, a 54,000 sq.ft., state-of-the-art recreational facility. The Center has a fitness room, racquetball courts, indoor walking track, aquatic center, and a multi-use room that houses two full-sized gymnasiums. In addition, there are rooms used for meetings, conferences, and get-togethers. Part of the City of Valley Community Center Complex is the Sportsplex which is surrounded by 5 multi-use atheletic fields. Also, 6 tennis courts and 2 soccer fields are available for use at the Community Center complex.

The Community Center is not the only recreational opportunity in Valley. A 7.1 mile walking trail (Rails-to-Trails), made from the rail bed of the Chattahoochee Valley Railroad Co.; parks and ball fields located in the Langdale, Shawmut, Riverview, and Fairfax communities; the Chattahoochee River, which offers great fishing, canoeing and kayaking, swimming, and beautiful scenery to enjoy - these are some of the other great recreational outlets in Valley.

For less strenuous leisure, the H. Grady Bradshaw Chambers County Library offers books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, and computers for 'surfing the Net'.
